Aqua Lung Regulators – Voluntary Product Check
Aqua Lung is conducting a voluntary product check on regulators with the Automatic Closer Device (ACD) yoke system. If you own one such a regulator then you might need to have it checked by a dive center or an authorized reseller.
The regulators affected are:
Titan LX ACD Yoke Regulators
All yoke models where the serial number starts with the letter E or F and that have not been services by an authorized Aqua Lung retailer or technician – Best Aqua Lung Dive Computer.
Core ACD Yoke Regulators
All yoke models where the serial number starts with the letter E, F, G or H (prior to H43301) and that have not been services by an authorized Aqua Lung retailer or technician – Aqua Lung i300C Dive Computer Review.
Legend ACD or Legend LX ACD Yoke Regulators
All Aqua Lung Legend ACD or Legend LX ACD Yoke Regulator models where the serial number starts with the letter E, F, G or H (prior to H43301) and that have not been services by an authorized Aqua Lung retailer or technician.
The issue with these regulators can be that a component of the ACD yoke system possibly has not been tightened properly. It can have happened that the tightening has not been performed to the recommended torque specification during the manufacturing process.
The result potentially could be that there’s gas flow failure during diving. This can happen when the regulator has been fitted on certain kinds of valves.
If you have such a regulator then you should stop using it immediately. Take it to an authorized dealer or dive center and it will be fixed at no cost to you – The Cost of Scuba Diving.
